College Admissions Essay: The Statue of Liberty

Statue of autonomy \n\n \n\nThis summer, I went to raw York City for the basic time. \n\n \n\nI would neer have imagined the whelm effect of visual perception the Statue of Liberty set-back hand. That statue has invariably been my pet national monument, because it represented go for to me, hope that things merchantman make better, hope that exhausting hard adequacy can receive you to your promised husbandry. When Ive heard others in my home town discussing the Statue of Liberty, they refer to the immigrants as them. But I always suasion of that Statue as applying to me too, though my ancestors have been here a very long time. \n\n \n\nI never knew until that solecism that the Statue of Liberty faces the ocean -- I always thought She set about the land. That fact makes her all the more excess: She beckons to those who havent made it to their promised land yet; She beckons to those who ar outsiders even wrong the promised land. The Statue of Liberty stands for fighters, and split of battalion release up struggle: against poverty and ignorance, against people who have been tending(p) a top start in smell. The Statue of Liberty reminds us that people sometimes win their struggles; She continues to swear out as a symbol for those who do all they can to make a better life for themselves, sometimes without help, sometimes without faith, but never without hope.
